What This Site Is
CogniAutoHome is an independent publication. We write, structure, and maintain reference documentation for the setup and onboarding of consumer smart home devices — currently focused on Amazon's Alexa ecosystem and the Echo speaker range.
Every page here is written material intended to be read. There is no software to install, no account to create, no form that asks for your details, and nobody on the other end of a line. If you have ever tried to set up a device by scrolling through a video at half speed with your phone in the other hand, this site is the alternative to that.
We call our format a blueprint: a task broken into its prerequisites, its sequential stages, and the reference tables you need at each one. The idea is that you can read the whole thing first and see the shape of the task before you begin, rather than discovering at step four that you needed something from step one.

How the Blueprints Are Built
Every reference on this site follows the same three-part structure, so that once you have read one, you know how to read the rest.
Prerequisites
What must be gathered or decided before anything begins — network names, passphrase formats, account choices, permissions. Most setup sessions that stall do so because one item here was skipped, not because a later step was difficult.
Stages
The task itself, in order, with a stated entry condition and a stated completion signal for each stage. You always know what has to be true before a stage starts and how to tell when it has finished.
Reference tables
The specifications, comparisons, and glossaries that support the stages — band characteristics, permission matrices, color meanings, naming conventions. These are written to be returned to, not read once.
What We Do Not Do
We are a publisher, and only a publisher. Stated plainly:
- No telephone support, and no support telephone number exists anywhere on this site
- No live chat with a person and no human advisers — the on-page search assistant is automated and returns links to pages here only
- No remote access to any device, account, or network
- No diagnostics, troubleshooting, or fault-finding on a reader's behalf
- No device installation, configuration, or setup performed for you
- No hardware repair, servicing, or replacement
- No account recovery, password resets, or intervention with any third-party account
- No requests, ever, for your credentials, passwords, verification codes, or payment details
If something is wrong with a device you own, the manufacturer's own support organization or the retailer that sold it to you is the right destination — not us. We would rather say that clearly than have you spend time here expecting help we cannot give.

CogniAutoHome is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorized by, or connected to Amazon.com, Inc., its subsidiaries, or any other device manufacturer, retailer, or platform operator. We are not a reseller, agent, contractor, or authorized service provider for anyone.
Product names and trademarks referenced across this site — Alexa, Echo, and others — are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the products we write about.
We hold no commercial arrangement with any hardware manufacturer. No manufacturer reviews, approves, funds, or influences what appears here. That independence is precisely why our pages can state a device's limitations and requirements plainly rather than selling around them.
How We Work
We build from primary sources: manufacturer specification sheets and published documentation, mobile platform developer documentation, and published wireless standards. Forums, social posts, and uncredited aggregator articles are not used as the basis for factual claims. Where sources conflict, the manufacturer's own current documentation prevails, and we say so on the page.
We also publish firm limits on what we will write. We do not produce diagnostic or corrective procedures, hardware manipulation sequences, or anything that implies we can intervene in your setup. Those limits are documented in full in our Editorial Policy, along with our correction process — which we would rather you use than let an error stand.
